This record arrived at my house surrounded by great intentions and an intense, sincere DIY background. The sheet inserted in the booklet contains exciting thoughts about what punk still means for 3 guys over their 30s: passion against business and refusing yourself to wear a fictitious mask. Maybe these words have been said a thousand times already, but in my opinion they've never been so actual and indispensable to remark everyday: it's not casual that the lyrics of these four songs are simply the re-proposition of their above-quoted way of thinking. Not finished yet: as a strong signal of their attitude, "Tre" is totally self-produced and moreover it's free for everyone who's interested to have it.
But what does this band play? Damn, this is the worst part of the roman outfit: four tracks of melo punk-rock, first two more pushed up, last two really adapted to an early teenage audience with also ska influences just like in Inverno. Think of stuff from mediocre teenage bands without credibility such as Peter Punk, Crummy Stuff or Moravagine and you'll have a clue on the band's sound.
I know very well that music must never be divided from its content, but if I'm here to write a review, I have to comment it and unfortunately, judge the musical proposal. So honestly I have to say that I can't really deal with this mini-album. It's very difficult for me to claim it, because I'm convinced about the sincerity of their purposes and I'm truly amazed by their attitude.
Sorry, probably I'm very close minded, but I can't connect happy-go-lucky refrains with deep and serious arguments.
Anyway, all of us have to care about what these three guys have to speak out, for once music is not so important.
